Llandovery College is located in the heart of the stunning Welsh countryside on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Set in a safe and secure environment, students enjoy 45 acres of grounds, sports fields and a nine-hole golf course. The school offers the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and Combined Cadet Force. The health and wellbeing of students is of paramount importance and the level of pastoral care is exceptional. Whether you are looking for A Levels or BTECs, Llandovery College offers a wide range of academic options along with excellent facilities, first class teaching in small classes and extensive opportunities for intellectual, social and physical development. The majority of students secure their first choice of university that includes the Russell Group and Oxbridge.


Voted in the Top 20 Rugby Schools in the World, Llandovery College has an outstanding rugby heritage and its success continues today with an exceptional Elite Rugby Programme for boys and girls and partnerships with the Welsh Rugby Union and four Regions. This passion for rugby continues to produce world class players including British & Irish Lions George North and former Wales’ captain and the world’s most capped player, Alun Wyn Jones. Over fifty former pupils have gained over 600 international caps, an incredible record eclipsing that of any other school in Wales.


Llandovery College has a dedicated Overseas Welfare Officer who arranges transfers to and from the airport at the beginning of each term and half terms. The College organises transportation to Heathrow Airport and some Regional Airports.
