Kingham Hill School

Kingham Hill School is a small, friendly, co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 11 to 18, set in an idyllic 100 acre estate in the beautiful, English countryside. Just a short distance from the famous university city of Oxford and 80 minutes by direct train to London, the school is ideally situated; a safe, rural location where pupils can explore, learn and make their home and one which is in easy reach of everything they might need to inspire them.

With just under 350 pupils in our school, every child is known, nurtured and inspired to succeed, both academically and within their personal lives. Our boarding houses are spacious yet cosy, each with its own distinctive, family atmosphere, with an average of just 25 pupils. Likewise, our small class sizes provide our pupils with support tailored to match their needs, helping them to achieve excellent academic results. Education is, however, about so much more than qualifications and the range of experiences and co-curricular provisions we offer make for happy, resilient young people who have an appetite for discovery and an ambition to make their mark on the wider world. Helping every pupil fulfil their potential has been a hallmark of the school for almost 140 years. We are a traditional English day and boarding school, yet one where progress and success are fundamental to what we do.

The school is currently home to over 40 pupils from HM Forces families - Forces and UK Diplomatic families pay no more than 10% of fees, with the full CEA entitlement.

Staff include many ex-military personnel, who add depth to the support and nurturing of children from military families. Their experience and the family-style boarding community ensures a strong support system for every child.
