Wymondham College

Wymondham College is nestled in an 83-acre estate surrounded by stunning Norfolk countryside, award-winning beaches and a stone’s throw from the historic city of Norwich, creating an idyllic backdrop to live and learn. Positioned in the East of England, we are well connected with air, rail and road access to many major cities.

 

Graded Outstanding by Ofsted, our academic achievements are amongst the highest in the country, complemented by an extensive enrichment programme and international trips that expand horizons and deepen learning.

The College is the largest co-educational state boarding and day school in the UK, welcoming students from ages 11 to 18 with a prep school for children from age 4 and boarding for children from age 9. Our boarding house structure means students belong to a smaller community where pastoral and wellbeing support ensures every child is known and cared for. Our World Class status reflects the high-quality, all-round education our students receive for free, with many going onto Oxford, Cambridge and Russell group universities. Considering all these aspects of our unique College, we are fantastic value for money and with our charity status, there is a modest boarding fee.

 

The College is steeped in a rich heritage which we celebrate through our College traditions, many of which are hosted in our 2nd World War Nissen Hut, cherishing our history whilst continuing to innovate and lead education nationally.

 

 

The College has excellent travel links with Norwich and Stansted International airports nearby as well as good rail links to Norwich, Cambridge and London. Heathrow and Gatwick Airports are also easily accessible from the College via the M11/M25.
