Windermere School

Windermere School is stunningly situated in a UNESCO World Heritage Site: England’s Lake District National Park. The rugged beauty of the landscape not only makes for an inspiring educational setting but enables students to make use of what surrounds them.

“A National Park location, with a lakefront watersports centre where each student is an individual.”

This makes for a truly unique and ever busy extra-curricular programme. Excellent GCSE and IGCSE results along with above world average International Baccalaureate results enable the majority of students to access their first choice universities.

The School boasts its own RYA (Royal Yachting Association) accredited watersports centre and boathouse on the shores of Lake Windermere. The School has been awarded British Youth Sailing Recognised Club status for its race training and is the only school in the UK to hold this accreditation.

Windermere is one of the UK’s most sought-after destinations. It has easy access to major roads, airports and rail, and is safe, secure and convenient – in short, the perfect learning environment for our students.

At Windermere School, we aim to maximise each child’s academic potential, and believe we can offer a truly unique space in which children can grow and develop as wellrounded individuals.
