 Forres Sandle Manor (FSM) has a long and proud tradition of supporting military families, offering a nurturing and stable environment for children aged 2-16. Our independent, co-educational day and boarding school is set within 35 acres of stunning grounds on the edge of the New Forest, providing space to grow, explore, and thrive.

We understand the unique pressures of military life and offer dedicated pastoral care, ensuring children feel secure and supported - especially during periods of parental deployment. Our small class sizes, highly trained staff, and personalised learning approach allow every child to reach their full potential while enjoying a wide range of
co-curricular activities, from sports to drama, music, and outdoor adventures. FSM offers outstanding facilities, including three cricket pitches, two rugby pitches, an outdoor heated pool, astro turf, four tennis courts, and an indoor sports hall. Our academic programme is enriched with specialist teaching, a broad curriculum, and a focus on life skills. Since expanding to Year 9 in 2024, FSM now provides a seamless transition to GCSEs, with automatic entry for current pupils.

We run a Supporting Active Service (SAS) group which provides additional support for children when a parent is away on deployment. The weekly meetings allow children in similar situations to share their feelings, learn from each other (especially the older children assisting the younger), and explore practical ways to help the weeks and months ahead. Registered member of the Armed Forces Covenant.
