Girls Senior and Prep School
‘’Rare to find such an outstanding boarding school, buzzes with confident, gregarious girls’’ Good Schools Guide

Godolphin School, situated atop Milford Hill, overlooking the cathedral city of Salisbury, is one of the oldest girls’ boarding schools in the country. Founded in 1726 with the sole aim of providing education for girls, the school now has an edgy 21st century feel to it.

Salisbury is less than an hour and a half by road from Heathrow Airport and an hour and a half from London Waterloo by rail. The port city of Southampton is to the south of Salisbury and the historic city of Bath to the west.

The school has a proud tradition of supporting forces families and is one of a handful of girls’ schools who have a dedicated CCF.

Mrs Emma Hattersley, Head, said that she "really enjoys the sense of vibrancy around the school, the energy and the drive of the girls”. The school is recognised as a centre for excellence in academics, sport, cultural activities and the pastoral care is outstanding according to Ofsted.

Boarding is available from age 7 at Godolphin Prep to A-level in either the junior or senior boarding houses, and the Sixth Form Centre.
