Pocklington School

Pocklington is a thriving independent school, 12 miles east of York, providing outstanding day and boarding education from 4-18 years.

Pupils can board from 8 years of age and are accommodated in four single sex boarding houses on or adjacent to the campus.

Pocklington School delivers an excellent all-round education and a vibrant co-curricular life within a supportive and caring community, all founded on a 500 year tradition.

Class sizes are small with teamwork at the heart of our approach. We are renowned for our emphasis on pastoral care, encouraging pupils to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities.

Set in a safe and picturesque rural setting, amid a 65 acre campus on the edge of the market town of Pocklington, the school has extensive outdoor sports pitches, including two all-weather pitches, its own swimming pool, an indoor sports hall, a purpose built theatre and music school.

Our ultimate aim is to give our pupils the support and freedom they need to flourish into fullyrounded, confident adults, who are inspired for life.
