The UK Boarding School Exhibition Nigeria, a great success

Our UK Boarding School Exhibition in Lagos was very successful and we were delighted with the positive response from both the visitors and the UK schools that attended. Our schools were kept very busy with over 85 families visiting during the two days.
"Overall a most successful exhibition and a definite market" – Sally, Millfield
"An impressive first event with great potential" – Justin, MPW
"The targeted marketing which has been carried out has been superb! Serious parents, quality students, excellent footfall! All in all an excellent exhibition, in a great venue" – Michelle, Rossall School
"The Exhibition was very useful and a very good way to meet lots of schools and ask questions; I now have a better understanding of the boarding system as a whole" - Olayemi, visitor
The VIP Reception was on the evening of Friday 10 October with a welcoming address by the Hon. Yacoob Bush-Alebiosu, MP for Federal Republic of Lagos. The event was well attended by Heads of local leading schools and important dignitaries from the region. This provided the delegates with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of Nigeria.
"I found the market very encouraging" – Paul, Ellesmere College
Strategic and targeted marketing of the Exhibition to local schools was supported by long standing relationships with Heads and Principals. AISEN (The Association of International School Educators of Nigeria) promoted the exhibition to their 60 member schools. Posters were displayed and flyers distributed to leading clubs, businesses and hotels. A promotional e-shot was sent by the British Council to their main contacts and to over 100 families.
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work that went in to the recent trip. It was really very good and the fact it was your first Exhibition in Nigeria made it even better. I’m more than happy to confirm that we would like to attend the next event you plan in Lagos" – Justin, MPW
